Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was pretty busy. We spent Saturday at the ball field playing kickball- well I actually didn't have to play, I just casually observed the chaos. Sunday was spent at my BFF's house swimming, eating brisket and hanging out. Today was pretty low key as well since I am now suffering from sinus and allergy issues. We ended up running into Dallas to get a few errands taken care of. I am so exhausted but I'm trying to stay up long enough to get my hair dry and watch a little of the Bachelorette.

In 5...

5 more days until school is out!!! It is actually only 4 for me because I have training on Thursday for summer school. I don't have any idea why I would need an entire day devoted to training me for a job that I have done for 8 years but go figure. It's a day to get out, have a real lunch and oh yeah, get paid too! Summer school shouldn't be too bad. I'm pretty excited about it. I'm going to teach first grade and it's only Monday through Thursday 8 to noon! Yeah for extra money!

Speaking of extra money, I may have to use some of that to pay for Maggie's treatment. I'm praying she doesn't have any ACL damage but we shall see. She is on medication and restricted activity for a month to see if her leg heals on it's own. The vet seems to think it's only a partially torn ACL or a strained ligament that is causing her so much pain. I guess we will find out after this treatment plan is over.

A Brave Soul

Yes, I'm wearing white capris and I did teach today! I am in absolute shock myself that my pants are still a beautiful, bright white after such a long day with 22 5 and 6 year old friends! Just wanted to share this amazing feat!!!
Now it's time to hit the laundry room and do a couple loads before heading out to the grill to make some dinner.

Summing it up

This song pretty much sums up everything that I have felt for so long. I know that one day, God will bless us with a miracle. Until then, I continue to pray for my friends who are receiving their biggest blessings soon.

Teacher Love!

It's the first day of teacher appreciation week. Today's theme was notes and things for the desk. I don't have a desk in my room- just a table that I pile lots of junk on! I got lots of cute notepads and sweet cards from my kids and their parents and an awesome basket full of fun things- tomato soup (my favorite), goldfish in all varieties, peppermint patties, flavored teas and tic tacs! I can't wait to see what this week brings! However, the sweet cards and notes mean the most!
